Why do you hold on to your past people?

I remember when I found out when my Ex started dating someone else after 4 months after we broke up, we had been together for almost 2yrs. When I found out, it really hurt, I remember finding out on a networking site and I cried on my bedroom floor for it felt like hours. I asked myself a million questions like "how come he's ready to date and I'm not" "did he really love me" "is he really over me" "what did I do wrong for him not to want to stay in SF" (he was originally from Los Angles area but went to college in SF). It was a hard year for me, he wanted to keep in contact and I wasn't so sure about it but I went along, he would talk about her to me sometimes and I would just listen, I never asked questions about her because I didn't want to know. One day, we were talking on the computer and he was asking me and I felt it was too personal questions about if I was dating or sleeping with anyone, I didn't want to talk about this stuff with my Ex it just didn't seem right. I told him that I no longer wanted to have any contact with him and that this is it; he said "have a nice life, bye!". And that was it, I never contacted him ever again, I would find out stuff about him from time to time because I was friends with one of his old roommates (who I no long really talk to now) but that would be about it.

When I found out he was seeing someone I felt that it was not okay to talk with him anymore, I mean, I have always found it odd when your seeing someone and they still talk with there Ex, or hang out with their Ex, I'm not an insecure person when it comes to this stuff, I just feel your Ex is your past and why do you want to hold on to your past?

The reason why I'm bring this up is, My Guy got a text message the other day from his Ex, I didn't mean to read it, but we were over at his friends place having an early dinner and we had gotten there early so we were helping out before everyone else came over and I was in the room off from the kitchen and his phone made a noise and he said could I check that he thought maybe his friend's might be letting him know they are coming, so I look at the phone and i see this text message "I don't think I'm ever going to meet someone like you.....I'm drunk...." I put the phone down, I stopped myself from reading any further, I had read enough. I didn't know what to think how to feel, but I thought I would wait to see what My Guy was going to do when he read it. He came into the room and asked me if it was his friend and I said no and then looked away, I saw that he read the text and took a deep breath and then walked away for a sec and then he came over to me. He asked if I read it and I said just a little, he said can we talk and I said how about later he said okay. Later could not wait, he was looking really sad, so I asked him if he was okay, he took my hand and baring me into the garage, he said to me to tell him how I feel, so I did. I told him when I saw that I thought 2 things; 1. He is still talking with his Ex, and leading her on or 2. She really was drunk and it was all her doing. He said number 2, then he said he had talked with her after a month we had been going out and he had told her how he felt for me. He said that he loves me and he would never lie to me and bla bla bla, and I trust him and I'm not worried that this chick will break us up or anything I mean she lives in another country! But I am a little annoyed.

I know My Guy and his Ex had been going out for about 5 years, that's a long time, a lot of his friends thought they were going to get married, but the relationship was never right from the start, but everyone else didn't know that. And I know it takes time to heal over a break up, more so for women sometimes but I also feel that people need to know boundaries, both men and women. It seems to me that this girl is going to never leave his life and I'm okay with that but I feel he needs to set some rules with her, I just don't think its okay to contact your Ex whenever you feel like it, drunk or not; unless you were married and had kids and then got divorced, then I could see you will always need to talk with the other person; but this is not the case.

Am I in the wrong on feeling this way?

Creative, disturbing and......well......cool?

These videos are a "project" called iamamiwhoami, I have posted the first three, but there are total of 13, and I suggest checking them all out on youtube the music gets better and the videos get more morbid!

What a great a idea Alber!

Lanvin for H&M Announcement

H&M hints at its latest collaborative partner as the widely popular retailer releases a series of viral videos for an upcoming project. Not much detail is offered but the voice-over sound’s like that of Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz. Further details should be announced on September 9th, 2010 with a bit of information offered below. Stay tuned!

It looks like H&M has snared one of the hottest labels in Europe — Lanvin — for its next designer collaboration. According to market sources, the Swedish fast-fashion giant will unveil a project with Lanvin and its creative director, Alber Elbaz, within the next week.

On Tuesday, H&M launched a viral video campaign on its Web site and YouTube to build curiosity about its annual holiday designer tie-up. A series of black-and-white videos features stereotypical fashion designer types: a man in a skinny dark suit; a woman in an outlandish blouse and chunky jewelry. By midday Tuesday, H&M’s Facebook page was peppered with guesses — Bottega Veneta’s Tomas Maier and New York society dresser Carolina Herrera among them — posted by Web users.

The video ends with the date Sept. 9 — presumably when H&M will unveil details of its latest collaboration, which have ignited retail pandemonium annually since the retailer first partnered with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004. Other designers to have collaborated with H&M include Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli and Sonia Rykiel. A project with Lanvin would be a coup for H&M, given Lanvin’s status as one of the fastest-growing designer firms in Europe, and Elbaz’s drawing power as a fashion personality.

I am SO EXCITED about this news!!! Lanvin is MY FAVORITE designer, I LOVE the way the cloths are made, Alber makes a women hot!!! I just really hope that the collection will be a good one, being that I have been disappointed when other desingers have done lines for H&M and Target.

One adult and one psycho

I wrote a blog titled Fake Friend and I would like to update you on that! The FF finally used her brain and asked if I was mad at her and if we could talk (this was over via text messages) I told her that I was busy (at this moment I was) and so then she asked if she could call me tomorrow and I replied back saying that I did not want to talk with her now, and maybe I would later. She did not like this at all, and said that fine, but she feels she at least gets to know if I'm mad at her or not because we are friends and friends are honest with each other. Um, FF, we were never honest with each other, I felt like from day one when we met that I had to walk on egg shells around you, and when you said jump I felt I was always saying how high.

There was an email I was waiting for, expecting and it came:
"Hello T,

since you inexplicably do not want to talk to us I'd appreciate if you could send me back my house and mail keys."

Thank you,

Fake Friend

I replay back:
"Your key will be in the mail by the end of this week.

Your welcome,
T.

She says back:
"Thanks.

I'm sorry this had to ended up this way. Since you started dating My Guy, I felt you did not need us anymore anyway
."

I like that she thought that I made this decision because I found someone! This was a long time coming! Seeing someone or single, it was going to happen!!

After this email I decide to send an email to her husband who has been my friend, most people think I met him first and that's not true I met FF first then her husband. I wanted to send him an email because FF used the word "us" as in I didn't want to talk with her husband too and that was not the case, so I felt i needed to make some things clear. And I knew sending her an email was not the way to go because it was going to turn into a email battle and I was not interested in that what so ever.

The email went a little something like this:
"I just received the email from FF asking for the house/mail key back and I will for sure give that back to both of you, I'll send it in the mail and you should have it by the end of this week.

She also said "us" as in I'm not going to talk to both of you when she said I have decided to inexplicably stop talking. I just want to let you know that I don't have a problem with you or FF I don't hate anyone! Its just been over the years FF has done and acted a certain way and it has been adding up and I have had enough. And to avoid a big drama mess I think the best thing to do is to just leave it alone. I just wanted you to know this, I do think its a shame how this is had to turn out and I also think its kind of sad how our friendship has changed over the year, but I do know that people change and nothing can last forever.

I'm sure you will be showing this email to FF and that's fine, its fair.

T"

Well, I get an email 2 day's later as My Guy and I were heading out for drinks:
"T,

I received the house key but not the mail key so I'd appreciate if you could send that as well. I'd also appreciated if you didn't contact my husband behind my back. I don't know what you were expecting from sending him that email except, of course, bothering me.
I've been forgiving you for unacceptable behaviors more than one time in the past. I might not have been a perfect friend -but who is really- yet I know that I always tried to say sorry and fix my mistakes. You, on the other hand, did not even ever realized when you've hurt me. Just like you did, however, I'm not going to bother or waste my time telling you how I feel or try to save this friendship.

FF"

I will admit it was hard to not reply to any of this bullshit, it really was, but I had to keep telling myself your the adult and she is the psycho!

I tell her:
"FF,

I don't have your mail key, I was never given a mail key, the only possession of yours that I had was your house key. Maybe you have mistaken me who might have your mail key for someone else.

T -
"

And she says back....I laughed:
"Good.
FF
"

I was really proud of myself for sticking to my guns, but also sad that in realizing that I have never had a nice female friendship, EVER! The one female friend that I have in my life right now has really been the best one, she has never made me feel stupid or crazy, or has put me down, she always was down to get goofy; yes we have had our little bitter moment but was never comparable to what I endured in the past. I hope she sticks around :)

Good job Robyn!

Airhead reading

I have never been one to read deep meaningful books, just like my television taste as well, I like to keep that airhead and trashy all the way! I like to read books that make me feel fabulous and make me say "OMG, I have felt this way". So I would like to share with you a few books that I have read a long the way, and I have also found out that 3 of them will be made into movies!

#1.
(This was a good book, but the ending was like WTF, and then I realized that I need to buy the other book to finish off my WTF)

#2.
(This started off a little slow, and then got juicy and then got slow again, but a cute read, I think there is a 3rd book out because again the ending was WTF)

#3.
(I am reading this right now and I can't put it down!! It is really good so far and I hope it keeps getting better!!)

#4.
(A good juicy read all the way, loved, loved this book!)

#5.
(Could not put this book down, it was funny and juicy and you are rooting for her in the book and she has a dog and sex, what more can you want!)
